NMCH is a major hub for the treatment of all specialties in eastern Patna, caring for approximately 2000 patients per day in the OPD. The number of admissions per day in different departments, including casualty and emergency, is also very high. The hospital has about 750 beds with a very high percentage of bed occupancy.
